The Vice President shoots a guy, and the guy apologizes? To Darth Cheney.

This doesn't surprise, shock, or dismay me at all, you know.

It /was a hunting accident/. The guy got prompt medical treatment. (Prompter, in fact, because Cheney shot him than because Random.Hunter shot him.)

I really don't hold the incident against Cheney.

...I have plenty of REAL grievances to hold instead.

There's enough weirdness around the whole incident that I don't even pretend to know what's going on.

"Sorry" is an ambiguous word. Someone can say "My cat was run over," and I can say "I'm sorry," without having been the one to do it.

Yeah, but I saw the video of the apology, and he sounded like he was apologizing for being responsible for the incident and the media attention that Cheney had on this. It was really freaky, man gets shot than apoligizes for the trouble he put the man who shot him through.
