forsythI was reading a thread over at http://www.crookedtimber.org and one of the commenters summed up a bunch of the current trends of fundamentalist reactionary Christianity in the US as "wanting a Vigilante Jesus". Which seems fairly accurate, and also sounds like a band name, or a comic.
