I have a good rant worked up, but I really don't feel like posting it. So instead, a meme I thought of, that I'm curious to see if it catches on.
List four things that you think would be true in a different, cooler universe. They could be big things, tiny things, anything that you think would make the universe be cooler and more interesting.
1: Magic. I mean, seriously, dude.
2: Art deco style buildings being more common. Maybe I'm just biased by a childhood of watching Batman: The Animated Series, but they look freaking awesome.
3: Flying cars and/or zeppelins in common use. Because they were promised to us by every sci-fi and/or pulp story ever.
4: The Laws Have Changed should have gotten lots of radio play. Because dude, that song is TOTALLY amazing, and better than any of the teeny-pop Brittney-clones.
And that's all there is to it. No tagging, none of that silly stuff. Let's see how this goes. [Edit: Though, obviously, to spread, you'd have to post your picks in your journal.]

Am I getting old?
Oct. 26th, 2005 12:27 amI get the feeling I may no longer be the target audience for the Internet. There's that video of a couple of Asian kids lip-syncing to the Backstreet Boys, and everybody keeps saying how hilarious it is. I watched it, and didn't find it that hilarious. Or even funny. Which is why I'm not bothering to link it, you're creative folks, you could find it easily enough. Now, maybe there's something utterly great at the end, because I didn't watch it all the way through. But that was because my reaction was "Skinny Asian teenagers lip syncing to the Backstreet Boys. Uh huh. Okay. And?" and got bored of it.
Arr, mateys, I be spending most of me day trying to avoid actually doing anything. And by that I mean cleaning.
On the other hand, my room is much less dusty and full of cat hair now. Now I just have to pump the bilges.
So, for your edification, here's a meme about politics that tells nothing you couldn't already guess!
( meme ahoy )

That Song Meme
Jul. 16th, 2005 10:53 pmMeme follows, in no particular order:
List five songs that you are currently digging ... it doesn't matter
what genre they are from, whether they have words or even if they're
any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post
these instructions, the artist and the song in your blog along with
your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they're
listening to.
1: This is My Song - Carbon Leaf
One of the few good in-store play things we've had, this song just feels totally like Fors.
2: Rock Me Amadeus - Falco
No Comment. Because I actually have no real comment, other than I like it.
3: The Gates - DaVinci's Notebook/The Fox - Nickel Creek
Partly because it's the only one I got around to ripping off one CD, but also, it's funny. The other's from in-store play, and a version of the original song The Gates is a parody of. Which reminded me of the first.
4: Skies of Arcadia Horteka Stomp - LeonHeart of the Flame/OCremix.org
That was such a good game. I should download the discovery chart and go finish finding all of them. And then have an excuse to tool around in the Delphinius.
5: Bad Religion - Los Angeles is Burning
Honestly, I couldn't really think of anything particular to put here. So I picked one of the Bad Religion songs since I've been listening to them a good bit, though I think I've overdosed a bit.
Now to tag five people. I should probably pick people who actually read my journal, and post to LJ, I suppose, so...
You have a month and a half to do it! Or else... Well, no or else.
