The dilemma of LJ

See, there's a problem I have with posting to LJ. It's a very simple one.

I'm boring.

So, it makes it hard to make entertaining LJ posts, even if it is only like 20 of my friends reading these. Well, friends in the "people I know who have LJs and have friendsed me" sense. Friends is a very imprecise word.

But still, it leaves me with either trying to write philosophical things with varying ability and from too little practical information, or trying to figure out ways to make the boring entertaining. Ursula Vernon can make describing a bird interesting and fascinating, me, I don't even watch birds. I guess part of interesting is where you find it, but even so, I don't have much to work from. Not even the proper Tortured Artist thing. Which I never really understood, I mean, art of some kind is something you do because you enjoy it, less than anything else, usually. And even if it's a Compulsion, it's still better than sweeping floors, usually.

So, do I have a point? I dunno. I need to write interesting things and start posting them to more LJ communities if I'm going to hijack people's brains and develop a devoted following, though. And then I'll have a minion base to take over the world.

You just need to keep writing. We'll keep reading.

Funny fuzzy. I don't know if LJ is the way to develop a following. It seems to me that LJs are ultimately for people who want to talk about themselves. And I guess for people to keep track of what their friends are doing. I think to develop a following, you need to start a cult. Might I suggest a new branch of Christianity, tailored to fit to your personal philosophy? It's easy to trick Christians into thinking what you want.

You know...Boring is one of the last things I would have called you. Your texts are amusing and your philosophical ramblings are in general very interesting. Every time I spot an update on your LJ, I read, or at the very least skim, it. I'm just very very lazy in replying.
