Superheroes, Ubers, and myths
Feb. 6th, 2005 07:40 pmI read part of The Authority the other night. And wow, but the characters in that are ubers. It's definitely like Greek myth level powers there. With a lot more violence...okay, not a lot more than Greek myth, but a lot of violence. I think I missed a good bit, though, since I came in near the middle of it on the TPB I got. I think I like Planetary better though. I'm not a huge fan of collateral damage.
On the whole, though, I think my tastes run more toward the low-middle power level range, at least for writing stuff. Because I want to write things where one random person can have an effect, and you lose a lot of tension when some schmuck with a gun isn't a threat any more.
Two more things I have to consider for the Gage stuff.
I guess this was less thoughtful a post than I thought.
