One for Jon Stewart

CNN cancels Crossfire. I can't say I'm terribly sad to see it go. Huzzah for Jon Stewart, now he must remember to only use his powers for good, not evil.

"[CNN President] Mr. Klein specifically cited the criticism that the comedian Jon Stewart leveled at "Crossfire" when he was a guest on the program during the presidential campaign. Mr. Stewart said that ranting partisan political shows on cable were "hurting America."

Mr. Klein said last night, "I agree wholeheartedly with Jon Stewart's overall premise." He said he believed that especially after the terror attacks on 9/11, viewers are interested in information, not opinion."

[meta: politics]

Cool. I dig Jon Stewart. I love 'America (the Book)' as well. Heh. And I got to see that Crossfire section that Jon Stewart was on, from the web, and wow, did he blast those guys! It was great television on the internet. ^_^

That's great. To think that people actually listened to what John Stewart was saying and not just mindlessly laughing. I'm swiping the link to put on my LJ so a friend of mine sees it.
