And Get off Their Lawn!

Wow. Not one, but TWO op-eds, in major newspapers, ranting about the evils of denim and jeans. Seriously. I'm not gonna bother linking to either of them, they don't need any more traffic.

But the entire premise, besides Grumpy Old Man syndrome, seems to be that because of jeans, they can't look at people and tell what social class they are. Ohnoes!

...seriously? Is there really nothing more important to complain about? Or, more realistically, no more important letters that had been sent to the newspaper they could have printer?

No, these aren't letters to the editor. These are op-ed columns, by paid writers. One was George Will, the other was on the Wall Street Journal Op-Ed page.

You know, I am completely unsurprised by either of those.

Neither am I, I think they're trying to put the Onion out of business. By making it seem like a documentary.

Hahahahaaaa, I just read the one in the NY Post.

I remain convinced that George F. Will doesn't know what year it is.

Glad to see newspapers struggling to re-gain their socio-political relevance. [/snark]

Although George Will bemoaning the lack of Dickensian sensibilities in American culture is nothing new, in fact, from him it's just plain boring... seriously, George needs to learn a new song, that one hit's gettin' played out...
