Yeah, So, the News
Lately, when I read the news, and think about the lunatics who're in charge right now, I get this sinking feeling. The kind where I think the general state of the world we've all taken for granted is fairly likely to not continue into the future.
Especially if the idiots start a war with Iran.

"The day the world ends, no one will be there, just as no one was there when it began. This is a scandal. Such a scandal for the human race that it is indeed capable collectively, out of spite, of hastening the end of the world by all means just so it can enjoy the show." -Jean Baudrillard, Cool Memories, Chapter 5 (1987) -taken from "Time Bomb 2000", by Edward Yourdon & Jennifer Yourdon.

I think a war involving Iran is a foregone conclusion. But so is a war between Taiwan and Mainland China, a war on the Korean peninsula, and a war in South America involving Venezuela. The only real question is which one happens first. Once one gets going, the rest will follow as a domino effect, because the aggressors will feel they have nothing to lose and America will be too busy to stop anybody.
