Epiphanies
Jan. 2nd, 2007 12:41 pmHaving just watched Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle last night, I realized something today at work. Well, I realized a couple somethings, some of which will go into another post.
But the something I realized afterward was y'know, I never have epiphanies when they'd do me any good. That flash of insight and the confidence and decision and stuff that goes with it always comes at just the right time in movies, when the person who needs to be confronted is there. Me, I get epiphanies like halfway through a shift of dead boring work a trained monkey could do. And by the time I get done, the initial surge is gone. My life needs to be more in tune with the plot.
