Two Unrelated Things

First, the video for Muse's song, Knights of Cydonia. The video is all kinds of awesome, and makes me want to write a sci-fi-western-kung-fu-B-Movie with unicorns, but I'm not sure I can keep the tone for something like that as earnest as it needs to be.

The second is something that's kinda weird, for me. See, my old car died, and so I had to go through all the crap of buying a new-to-me car, which I've now done. And since the only thing more annoying than pictures of somebody's dog or cat is pictures of their car, I'm not gonna post any, besides it's just a 2000 Honda Civic coupe. But so far I've actually kinda enjoyed driving it. It might just be since it's new and new things are amusing, or it might be because it's a much better car than my old one. But it's a kinda weird feeling, 'cause I generally hate driving.

I'm a sucker for kung-fu space cowboy stuff,and that video is certainly cool, but I think my favorite Muse video for nerdly cool is still the Sing for Absolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5A_8U1jces) video, because it was made by the same animators who did the videos for the I-War games.
