Two Unrelated Things
Oct. 4th, 2006 10:51 pmFirst, the video for Muse's song, Knights of Cydonia. The video is all kinds of awesome, and makes me want to write a sci-fi-western-kung-fu-B-Movie with unicorns, but I'm not sure I can keep the tone for something like that as earnest as it needs to be.
The second is something that's kinda weird, for me. See, my old car died, and so I had to go through all the crap of buying a new-to-me car, which I've now done. And since the only thing more annoying than pictures of somebody's dog or cat is pictures of their car, I'm not gonna post any, besides it's just a 2000 Honda Civic coupe. But so far I've actually kinda enjoyed driving it. It might just be since it's new and new things are amusing, or it might be because it's a much better car than my old one. But it's a kinda weird feeling, 'cause I generally hate driving.

Date: 2006-10-05 03:01 am (UTC)Heck, back then, I wanted to make one of those cheapy movies. One of my brother's friends actually made one himself (Mutants From Hell 2075, which I doubt is on Youtube, but you never know).
Having a nice car has kept me alive. You wouldn't know how many times I've thought about vehicular suicide on the way back to the house from work, and called off the idea because I thought my car was too nice for me to abuse it so. (That and I thought the supplemental restraint system would probably keep me alive anyway just for the fates to spite me.)
