In a culture where marriages are arranged for money or power or other things, what would you (current-you, not hypothetical other-culture-you) think about affairs?

Would it change if the marriage-ees had a little say in who they married, but not final say?

Well, since nobody else has answered, I will. In a lot of ways, I don't think a marriage where the people involved had no choice doesn't really count. It's just other people deciding for them, and that's not any good basis for a contract like marriage. Or for a relationship of any sort. Yes, most people could probably tolerate most other people, but that doesn't make it right.
