ooooooooh. lookin' sweet. is there a trailer out yet?
speaking of comic movies. V for Vendetta should be hitting the multiplexes soon. the bruhaha with Moore kinda put me off it, but the trailer looks fantastic, damnit. so I may be incapable of not seeing it.
I am completely undecided on V for Vendetta. The trailer looked pretty good, and the comic is the kind of thing that would have blown my mind if I'd read it ten years ago, before I'd been exposed to enough OTHER weirdness. But the most worrying line in the trailer was "From the creators of the Matrix Trilogy." I think I'm going to let other people play guinea pig and wait and see what kind of reviews it gets. Both from regular reviewers and from people I know, online and off.
And no trailer so far as I know, I just saw the poster like eighteen times on this little script that shows the most recent X images posted to LJ last night. http://www.portalofevil.com/lj.php
Yeah, but I have hope since they're only producers this time. Not the director. Also, as long as they don't make it a trilogy, I think they're pretty good directors. The first Matrix blew me away.
Still you're probably right to be prudent.
I'm sort of on the fence about A Scanner Darkly too. I love Philip K. Dick, and I hate how they've turned all his stories into action adventures, so the mood and pacing of the trailers give me hope. But it also stars Keanu Reeves, which doesn't.
Doesn't the poster remind you of Underworld 1 and Dark Angel and =P Countless other things they used that exact same pose and lighting scheme for? I dunno, Spiderman 3 might be a big suckage. Considering they're having Eric Foreman from That 70's Show as..VENOM....yes scrawny pale child as VENOM! They also left out the whole thing about Gwen Stacy so...**It sucks having a husband who's a spiderman fan** lol
And those two posters made the movies look cool, despite the fact they utterly weren't. So when a cool looking poster for a movie with a proven track record of goodness comes out, I can squee. And yes, the Matrix sequels looked good, and then we know how those turned out.
