See, I was down at Grand Prix Richmond for Magic the past couple of days. And I saw

theferrett there, but I never stopped and said hi, since I don't actually know him, and only recognized him from his LJ icon. Even when he was drafting against my friend, or when he was just wandering around.

And then I see he posted this from the Grand Prix yesterday, about feeling awkward and not knowing who to talk to and stuff. Which is exactly the reasons why I didn't say hi to him. And I didn't want to go all fanboy weird like "Hi, I recognized you from your LJ icon!"

And I felt exactly the same way at the GP, too. I mean, hell, if nothing else, we could probably have talked about webcomics.
