Political rantage
Jun. 12th, 2004 12:01 amIn advance, this is about politics, not in favor of dear unelected Bush, and probably will involve profanity. You've been warned, feel free to scroll past.
To misquote Inigo Montoya (as well as probably misspell his name, but he's fictional, so I doubt he cares), "I want my country back, you son of a bitch."
Seriously, how the FUCK are these people still in office? WHY haven't they been impeached yet? Hell, a pretty big chunk of the Administration would be in JAIL, if they hadn't been pardoned by Dubya's daddy. Seriously, I knew from the moment these guys stole the election they'd be bad, but not THIS bad. They have singlehandedly destroyed America's credibility on human rights, security, terrorism, and trade, alienated our allies, alienated our enemies MORE, given the terrorists MORE reasons and MORE recruity tools, and painted us completely as a rogue nation. I mean, seriously, WHAT THE FUCK? Torturing prisoners when 90% of them weren't picked up for actually doing anything? Torture? America doesn't do torture. We don't do torture. And these fucks sat around, RIGHT AFTER 9/11, and started making MEMOS on how to make torture legal, or at least avoid the consequences of it. Check this. Josh Marshall's excerpt, Washington Post White House Briefing (""Pressed repeatedly during a news conference here about a Justice Department memo saying torture could be justified in the war on terrorism, Bush said only that U.S. interrogators had to follow the law."), An analysis of the first 56 pages of the memo.. It goes on and on. Seriously, IMPEACH these people, NOW.
These fucks do NOT represent the United States of America in any sense other than the barely legal. They are the exact opposite of everything the United States stands for, the exact opposite of what the Founding Fathers and all the others fought for through the centuries. They're just a bunch of greedy nepotistic wannabe tyrants, bankrupting the country to enrich their friends, starting wars and taking advantage of tragedies for petty electoral gain, TORTURING CIVILIANS, invading other countries, locking people up without trials, warrants, or charges, spying on Americans and the rest of the world without any oversight, pandering to the radical religious fringe here for votes, even to the point of letting them influence foriegn policy to try and bring about the end of the world. Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, all of them don't represent America at all. All of them are criminals and traitors, in ways that clearly meet the "High crimes and misdemeanors" test, far more than fibbing about sex.
And almost as bad are their apologists, which at this point frankly includes most of the media, who were happy to hop on every implausible made up "scandal" about Clinton manufactured by their enemies, but too afraid to investigate any of the far more serious things that this administration has done since before day one. Fire them all. And break up the news corporations, who're responsible for much of the pandering, since hey, they get favors from the criminals in office now. The fuckers.
