forsythNow, for going on... four? years. I've been saying "Y'know, I should find an artist and do a comic," but not. this is due in part to my being broke most of those four years, so being unable to pay an artist. Which, from what I've seen on several comics forums, is often required.
Which leads to an analogy I heard somebody say, I forget who, or where. It was along the lines of "Making comics is like dating. The writers are the guys and the artists are the chicks. Writers go hunting for artists, and have to do all sorts of work to impress one. An artist just has to say they're available and they'll have half a dozen writers asking them to work with them." Yeah, it's not 100% accurate or anything, but it sorta fits.
'course, if you don't even ask, then of course everybody says no. Which brings me to the point of this. Such as there is.
I wonder if it's worth trying to write up either Fors stuff as scripts for a webcomic or finishing scripting out that mech thing. The second might maybe actually be able to get published, and I could maybe find a collaborator, as opposed to just paying somebody to draw, but I dunno. So.
