Oct. 12th, 2005 02:18 amI don't believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight, sure. Crush at first sight? Definitely. Those can both easily morph into love. And then that's assumed to have been the case all along.
But really, love's based on more than just what you can see right off the bat. It grows (or is built) from shared experiences and interaction. Like sex. One of the oldest bonding mechanics for people. And the root of the "Don't sleep with anybody you don't want to fall in love with," rule. Love's a process, not a sudden bolt from the blue.
(My brain goes odd places when I'm isolated in the wasteland of the music department for hours with nothing but a scanner and manymanylots of shiny optical data discs.)
