This kinda took a turn in tone

The ancient temple of Montage had withstood every attempt to plumb its secrets. But now only one final puzzle stood between the Professor and the untold secrets of the Ancients. An enormous (cyclopean, even) stone door, covered with a pattern of four matching symbols. Identical symbols were carved into large buttons on the floor, in the shape of a plus symbol.

"These must be the lock," the Professor said, "The Ancients were devilishly clever."

"It's DDR," his nephew said.

"What?"

"The last door was minesweeper. The level before that was Donkey Kong."

"Interesting. All those games must be coded clues."

Normally, I don't get excited about movies

A brief aside from a thief

They say the best things in life are free. Whoever "They" are, which is something that's always confused me. I mean, I don't pay in money for lots of my stuff, that's kinda the whole point of being a thief. Well, that's not quite true, I do buy lots of things, because it's simpler and less work. But anyway, the point is, even stealing's not really free, it takes planning and cleverness and care and a bunch of running away. Plus the money for all the gear to do stuff. It's fun too, but that's just one of the benefits.
