I get the feeling I may no longer be the target audience for the Internet. There's that video of a couple of Asian kids lip-syncing to the Backstreet Boys, and everybody keeps saying how hilarious it is. I watched it, and didn't find it that hilarious. Or even funny. Which is why I'm not bothering to link it, you're creative folks, you could find it easily enough. Now, maybe there's something utterly great at the end, because I didn't watch it all the way through. But that was because my reaction was "Skinny Asian teenagers lip syncing to the Backstreet Boys. Uh huh. Okay. And?" and got bored of it.

Um, yeah. Wizards of the Coast says they found the lost third set of the Ice Age block. In all the time I've played Magic, I've never heard of this before. But they're going to print it, and make it T2 legal. Um.

It's not April 1st, so I imagine it's true, it's just BIZARRE. I don't know if I think it's a good thing or a bad thing or what yet. It's just a thing. A strange one.

Though watching the mix of whining and "OMG KEWLZORZ!" on the WotC fora is amusing.

"Welcome to Sector Six. So you're the new guy, huh? Well, let's get the big stuff out of the way. Follow me."

The elevator went down for a very long time. "Actually, it's just slow and old. We don't get much budget any more."

The elevator stopped and the doors slid open onto a huge warehouse. Rows upon rows of gadgets straight out of a Hollywood prop designer's dreams (or nightmares) stretched into the darkness. "This is it. The Warehouse. It's all the stupid shit like weather control and powered armor we built because we were scared of the Russkis."

(I picked up a free book somebody was gonna throw out, called "Secret Weapons of the Cold War" and it inspired this. Okay, the first three pages inspired this, I've barely started reading it.)

I bought a pair of video games today, the first I've bought in months, at least. And I only got these because they were $10 each at Target. I got Longest Journey and Starship Tycoon. And... That's all there really is to say there, I guess.

Though I've noticed my life is almost completely about entertainment, either for me or selling other people crappy CDs to entertain them, which really isn't very much point to a life at all, I think.

But y'know, there's something odd about reading reports on Magic forums where somebody goes "heres my deck list i got second at states lol. [Decklist] rnd1: some scrub, 2-0. etc."

The disconnect between the intelligence needed to play Magic well and the ability to type in coherent sentences is just astounding.

It shouldn't be, since I was on IRC back when #mtgpro was infamous, but still. Dudes. Seriously. LEARN TO FREAKING SPELL. You don't have to be Jamie Wakefield, just write something coherent and interesting. At least give us some examples of what happened, tell us more about the deck, what you did and why. With capital letters. They don't bite. Really.
