"Because SOMEONE kept interfering...sorry honey. Yes, I know, I'm past that now." - That Would be Telling
"Didn't he destroy stuff, though?" - Erin
"Mostly his own stuff." - Fors
"Hey, you did most of that. You should pay me back." - That Would Be Telling
"I'd like to point out you were trying to kill me at the time." - Fors
"Point." - That Would be Telling
"Well, that was anticlimactic. And very weird." - Erin

Excerpt from a story that's, again, not written. And I'm not sure if all the lines given to Erin will be her, since they're not really all quite in character for her. It depends how things play out before then, I suppose, and who else might show up.

On Authority

Isn't it amazing how pretty much everybody with authority, me included, tends to react the same way to a threat to their authority? Whatever kind of authority it is, and however it was earned or given, the first instinct is to use that authority to squelch the challenge to the authority.

Which just proves that the first motive of power is almost always to maintain power.
