"Where's Dave?"
"Oh, he's still going crazy of that project of the moment of his."
"The shoe thing?"
"No, this is new. Well, not really, it's the typical post-post-post-ironic hipster thing he's into lately. I'm going to have to unplug the TV. Or at least block all the Hollywood News things."
"What is it now?"
"Oh, he saw some bit about that slutty pop star getting married again. He ran off to the computer to start up a blog and see if he could fake enough anguish to get a community of other fanthings to join in and lament the fact that they're never going to be able to have sex with somebody they were never gonna have sex with anyway. He thinks he can get at least twenty other people to join the lamentations in the two days before she'll probably divorce him."
"He really needs some more hobbies."
"Maybe, but it keeps him from screaming like a monkey on the fire escape and throwing poo at the neighbors and claiming it was performance art."
"Why do you put up with him, anyway?"
"The sex."
"Ah. Shoulda recognized your voice."
"Oh, shut up. You live three blocks away."
"You say that like it makes a difference."

I have no idea really who any of these people are. I can see them either as random.disaffected.college-age-kids, or some kind of bizarro webcomic group. These two are naturally not contradictory. And I'm pretty sure both of the unnamed speakers are female.
