forsyth | To stop being an NPC

I'm in a good mood. This is largely because I'm going back to school (sort of), with an actual plan and goal in mind. Dropping out of college is one of the things I most regret, for a number of reasons. The academics being one of the least, but a big part of it. Sure, I'm just going for the associate's degree at the local community college, but that'll let me transfer and do real stuff when I get done. And I'm probably more than half done, since I somehow suspect I can test out of basic brain-dead English and Math courses. And required computer basics course. But one of the things I'm gonna have to take is a foriegn language, so I have to figure out which one. I had 3 years of Spanish in HS, but it sucked and I barely passed (bad teachers and a teacher I hated). I don't remember anything from half a year of Russian before. So, I gotta decide, Spanish, or Arabic, or German, or French. Since those are the only ones offered at the one. I wonder why I suck at foriegn languages.

Also, I'm starting to think that part of the reason I did badly the first time at college was I didn't care. I can think of a few reasons, but none that seem to quite explain why I wouldn't, but that's a post for another time.
