On Compliments
Jun. 21st, 2005 03:22 amSo apparently the district manager came in to work Saturday (or was it Sunday?) in "plain-clothes". I'm glad I was actually awake that morning, since apparently I did all the right things. Which, despite the fact I know my job is mostly pointless, still made me feel good. It's funny. Probably it's mostly because I don't get compliments much, or recognition, and it was also face to face, and unasked for stuff is a little harder to minimize. But still, why does it matter, over a job I know doesn't matter a whit in the grand scheme of things?
