The past few days, haven't really done too too much. But also not completely do-nothinged. I'm almost finished the KidFors story, probably finish that tonight, if I don't get distracted trying to find birthday presents to suggest to family, since they're all complaining about not having birthday ideas for me. And I actually went out and did stuff, sorta, with actual people. Well, "did stuff" in the "went over and watched movies, played video games, magic, and generally geeked out over at one guy's house," but hey. It's a change.

I also watched Spriggan today, which was... okay. It started out pretty good and was that way most of the way, but the like last twenty minutes or so made me go "Wait, what?" and "how'd he know that?" and "Why now?" lots. Maybe I'm just not conversant enough in anime or something, but I kinda figure if you're gonna have a dramatic revelation and flashback about the main character, you're gonna lead up to it, and then have it be important, not just sorta toss it out there randomly without any warning in the climax, while the world's ready to fall apart. That bugged me several times. One minute, the bad guy's setting off the world-destroying thing (for reasons that remained murky, since he hardly got characterized at all, and with logic that I still don't quite grasp. And how he knew how to do it at all, when the thing'd been sealed for thousands of years... anyway), and then suddenly they go off on twenty minutes of philosophizing about God, and Man, and the aliens who built the weapon thing, and machines, and free will, and then there's the flashback, and I just really sorta went "Eh." But that's just me and my writerly instincts, I guess. And there weren't any sprites in the whole thing, either.
