At work, this kid was asking about D&D, and his mom asked "It's not dangerous, is it?" She'd "heard some bad things" but "wasn't sure what" and "didn't really know about it." So I put on my best not-scary freaky just boring friendly helpful geek face, and explained things to her and her son, made sure to make plenty of references to things like being heroes and suchlike. Now to hope she doesn't decide to go home and look, and run into Jack Chick's site and believe that. Heh. Good for once to do my best to appear normal.
