A note on editorials
Feb. 13th, 2005 12:12 amThe people (like George F. Will) who go around quoting how well members of Congress do with their "privatized" retirement benefits might also bother to note the fact that Congresscritters make more money than at least 80% of the US, probably more like 95%.
Also, the next tax cut apologist who whines about the "top 20% paying 60% of taxes' might want to notice the fact that the top 20% (mostly, really, the top 5% and 1%) make more than 60% of the income in the US, and control something like 90% of the wealth. So, translated, they're paying too LITTLE taxes.
