forsythA thought that I doubt occurs to most of the Creationists and "Biblical Literalists" who think religion and science are forever enemies...
As a writer, it's a lot more elegant, interesting, and satisfying to create a universe that hangs together by itself and makes sense and where the characters go do things because they want to. And easier, in the long run, so you don't have to keep papering over plot holes.
I'm just sayin.
