Heroes
The family watched Spiderman 2 tonight. Which is a really good movie, and I like it a lot. But.
But heroes don't generally get adulation in real life. They don't get the cheers of a grateful populace, or get the girl. Oh, sometimes, sure, but a lot of the time, all heroes get is screwed.
The guy who gave the photos proving we were torturing prisoners in Abu Ghraib? Shunned by friends and neighbors, treated like a traitor, threatened.
Sometimes, I really hate people.
