So...how long before we lose all our market share to foreign companies? Oops! Its kinda already happened. The problem isnt just the wage issue, its the fact that we dont produce our own stuff. The skills are lost, and unless you've got that MBA that claims you can't run the copier...you're not going to make the money necessary to keep an acceptable standard of living. That depresses a market, and you end up either delinquent or ignorant because your worries shift from being able to go to college to being able to buy .29 cent macaroni to feed the family for dinner. We are unable to reverse the situation with our economy until we begin bringing the GNP home, and making it a *national* product again.
