According to Joseph Campbell's Transformations of Myth Through Time there is a level in the Kundalini Yoga where Kali reigns, and it's a perpetual dance of fire and killing and destruction. Thunderbolts and shrapnel in all directions, people being blasted to hamburger, blood in tsunami proportions, and the perpetual chant of "KLA! KLA! KLA!" ("DEATH!")
And this isn't Hell. This is where GOOD souls have to go.
