Ah, the Party of Personal Responsibility lives up to its name once more
Yup, that's right. The Republican party, bastion of anti-corruption and Personal Responsibility has gone and undone a rule they made a decade ago, that any congresscritter in a leadership position who gets indicted has to step down. 'Cause poor little Tom Delay's been indicted in relation to stuff he was doing in Texas, like re-redistricting at his will to make new safe Republican seats. But of COURSE, it must be politically motivated, since the DA's a Democrat... Who's been elected for the past twenty years, and has investigated 12 Democrats as opposed to 4 Republicans.
Next up, redoing Senate rules to remove the ability to filibuster anything. Of course, when they lose power, I can't imagine the amount of bitching you'll hear constantly from them and the "liberal media". A good bit of advice the Republicans seem to have forgotten, don't give Congress the ability to do something if you think it'd be bad if The Other Guys used it.
And a linky for great use of ubiquitous lame LJ memes.
