The first of the things is relatively pointless. There's a Panera Bread down the shopping center from where I work, as there are in many shopping centers scattered throughout the country in places that don't often have actual cafes. The effects of mass culture etc are an entirely different rant, however. Back on track. They have this new "dinner pizza" thing, and I had gotten a coupon for a free one, and hey, free dinner. It was underwhelming. Firstly, I don't think it merits being called a pizza. There was no sauce, it was practically just cheese melted over a piece of like pita bread that was baked to be crispy. In retrospect, with a free one, I should have tried one of the fancier ones. But even then, I doubt the term "pizza" would fit. It's not really BAD, it's just...not pizza. And definitely not worth the $7-10 price range they're at. So, meh.

The second thing is Radiohead. I've always heard people talking about them, and know many people who think they're great. But the other time I borrowed one of their CDs from the library, I was underwhelmed. However, at work and bored, I listened to some samples of Muse's new album, Black Holes and Revelations and really liked all the samples. I'm unfortunately too broke to buy the CD right now, but that's irrelevant. But all the review thingies in the computer said "They're like Radiohead!" so I figured I'd give Radiohead another chance. And I listened through Hail to the Thief on the drive to and from work, and...eh. About half the songs were pretty good ones I enjoyed, the other half were either not that great or almost just jumbles of sound. So did I pick a bad album to start with, or is that pretty much a how Radiohead is?
