Nanowrimo
Now, lesse. I'm trying to figure out what to do for Nanowrimo. Last year I was doing the Matrix rewrite thing, which broke 50K words easily, but never got finished. For a variety of reasons. But, that was then. This year, there's a couple options.
The Final Forsyth Story (timelinewise, not last I'd write) which would probably be close, I think. It's hard to tell. And, okay, I'll admit, it wouldn't be QUITE the last story, by the timeline I have in my head, but that requires me to write the others. And that sorta requires my actually doing something with them. What, I'm not sure yet.
Something involving the Indefensible Atrocity bit I put up before, which would be some kind of pulpy space-operaish thing. I really don't have this planned out very well, do I?
Or I could rewrite the Star Wars Prequels to not suck, but I did that kind of thing last year, so.
Stupid work. I haven't been planning this out very well. There's always the Ultimate Internet Novel where I make each character by picking 2 or more words from lists of common cliches, such as Robot, Monkey, Pirate, Ninja, Cthulhu, Boobies. And then let things work themselves out like Ed Wood meets Keenspace on LSD or something. That has a great deal of appeal, just because it would be utterly insane, and insanity's fun.
Or I could do some kind of post-apocalyptic future thing, set in a world that doesn't seem too impossible right now, but that'd be bloody depressing.
I am open to suggestions! Pick what you like, or offer suggestions, most of which I'll probably ignore and end up doing something that sucks and everybody hates!
