So, I was browsing over at WebComicsNation. I was scrolling through one of the lists, and clicked on Cooking With Anne. I was expecting I dunno, random manga-style cooking wackiness, or something. That's not what I got. I got something much more interesting.

There's only five strips so far, three of them in the main storyline and two "Survival Tips." The main strips are silent, with captions between a few of them. The first strip's are a quote to set the mood, then the second two are recipes. So far it seems to consist of Anne surviving and hunting for food in an abandoned post-cowpocalypse Seattle. The "survival tips" remind me quite a bit of the Pip-boy cartoons from Fallout.

The art I like. I don't know enough about art or art criticism to put fancy words on it. I think the best part with the art, though, is the use of color. Most of the pictures are black and white, but with certain parts colored, with no more than two colors per strip. That, combined with the silence, makes for a good effect. One that's actually kind of reminiscent of A Softer World or Sinister Bedfellows.

Snappy ending summation here.
