Book reccomendation (only spelled right)
Oct. 10th, 2004 06:50 pmThe other day at Costco, I picked up America (the book) by Jon Stewart and the Daily Show people. I'd seen it at Borders, shrugged, then read reviews online several places saying it was very good. They were right. It's absolutely hilarious. I've literally broken out laughing dozens of times while reading it. And it's a wonderful parody in format of a textbook, too. If only real politics and history textbooks were like this. If you've got the chance, flip through it at a bookstore, read a bit. Decide for yourself if it's worth it. I'd say it is.
[Edit: Okay, that bit about see for yourself? Well, do it, but it's honestly one of the funniest books I've read. Making me laugh out loud on a regular basis. Go! Read! I ORDER YOU!]
