I forget if I've said Minus is brilliant. Because it so often is. And pretty. And it's worth saying again.

Here's two posts by other people that are interesting, and this way I don't have to do any work!

First, [livejournal.com profile] theferrett on the amazingly ugly designs for the Presidential dollar coins. They're really bad representations of the presidents. I wonder how hideous Nixon will look.

And second, [livejournal.com profile] gwalla on the "scientific" most wanted and unwanted songs possible. I'm still listening to the most unwanted song, it's 25 minutes long, and so weird it's awesome.

There's nothing like some loud maniacal laughter that scares the cats to put you in a good mood.

No, really. Try it!

The sky is grey and the breeze is cold. Not the kind you get when there's weather actually happening, the kind of grey and cold that implies snow, but doesn't promise it, like the model in a car commercial implies she'd sleep with you if you bought the car, but doesn't actually promise it. I threw on a jacket over my sweater and grabbed a large bookstore shopping bag and a pair of latex gloves. There's a section of the road where I walk that's practically a mine of beer bottles and other spoor of bored rednecks cruising a back road in the evening. Since the local government hasn't authorized a cull of the herds, I resigned myself to cleaning up after them.

I didn't even reach them though, within half a mile my bag was beyond of fast food cups, plastic bags, plastic bottles, and a fine assortment of containers for Milwaukee's signature beverage. Anything paper I left, because paper actually goes away in time, better than when it's buried in a pile of other trash. That was my adventure for the day.

While cleaning up, I've found at least five books with bookmarks partway through them, that I remember then that I must have started but never finished. The question is, do I start reading them at the bookmark, or start over? Guess I'll have to see how much of them I remember.
