Hokay. Now, in theory, since this is sorta about a comic, it could go over in
snarkoleptics, but it's really not the same kind of thing, and most of it's about politics and language. This is going to be long, and include a comic, so it'll be behind the fold here.

Go Scientific American!

"Good journalism values balance above all else. We owe it to our readers to present everybody’s ideas equally and not to ignore or discredit theories simply because they lack scientifically credible arguments or facts. Nor should we succumb to the easy mistake of thinking that scientists understand their fields better than, say, U.S. senators or best-selling novelists do. Indeed, if politicians or special-interest groups say things that seem untrue or misleading, our duty as journalists is to quote them without comment or contradiction. To do otherwise would be elitist and therefore wrong. In that spirit, we will end the practice of expressing our own views in this space: an editorial page is no place for opinions."

Now, normally, I don't care much about fashion. I've got plenty of T-Shirts, and usually only buy stuff at Goodwill etc, or if it's on sale. Because I'm both poor and cheap. But those T-Shirts I linked a couple posts back are awfully tempting, even at $30 a pop. Also, I need a good mad scientist lab coat. Because, I mean, mad science!
Maybe I should become a hipster.
