This is the looming crisis of Social Security. 1.6 Trillion dollars in the Trust fund and still running a surplus.

Years down the road, even when the payments start costing more than the taxes take in, the Trust Fund will be able to pay benefits for many years.

Of course, then there wouldn't be the $150 billion Social Security surplus propping up the federal deficit and making it look smaller than it is, and the huge deficit we have now will get even huger.

Party of fiscal responsibility MY ASS.

I'm off to update the BIOS on my motherboard, in hopes of making my video card work properly. According to things I've seen, this should work.

Or fry my BIOS chip and make my computer not boot up, either or. I guess we'll see, won't we?

If I'm not back soon, just wait longer.

The BIOS update went off fine. Huzzah!

Now to see if that did indeed fix my video card problems. Let's hope so.
