So...

So, I just realized that instead of using this to keep track of friend's LJs like I'd planned, and become one of those people who don't have anything interesting going on in their life, but tell everyone about it anyway in their LJ.

Well, not really, actually. I'm not really writing most of anything here for anybody but me, no offense to anybody reading this. Heh. It's really more of just a notebook type thingie I jot stuff in for me, that happens to be public. So, whatever works, I guess. And speaking of random notes for me...

The local mall has a lot of empty stores in it, and the empty ones seem to keep filling up with stupid clothing botiques. WHY? It's just clothes, FFS, and most of the clothes I've seen in the botiques are, frankly, ugly. Gah. Faux trendy botiques of overpriced clothes constantly tempt me to fill ballons with paint and firecrackers, then toss them in to just make the place more interesting. And the clothes look better too, probably. Maybe I'm just biased, since, well, I already have plenty of clothes so the only time I buy clothes is if I absolutely need them, or off the clearance rack or something. Or it's just my geekiness shining through, I dunno. But those places just make me wish flamethrowers were legal sometimes. For some reason, they just inspire me to want to commit property damage misdemeanors.

And on another note, sites that use silly LJ type quizzes to lure you into registering with them to get your results suck. Very much so.

And on another unrelated note, I need to get a cork board and a dot matrix printer. Low-tech, I know, but dot matrix printers use a lot less ink than, say, inkjets, and it's really easier to edit on a printed sheet of paper, for stories. Making notes in the margins is so handy. And nifty as computers are, a corkboard's a better way to make notes and stuff than many things on computer, so.

You'd think Winamp would play more different songs, rather than the same ones over and over. Okay, so, I'm bored of my current crop of music, I need new music and for that, I need suggestions from people. Note: since I'm on dialup, downloading sample songs is at best tedious, so one of the methods I'm gonna make good use of is just checking with the local libraries. So, fire away, what music sould I listen to?

I also need a good (free) RSS reader, Feedreader seems pretty good, but a) it keeps crashing, and b) it keeps trying to use IE, and IE is Teh Evil. And I'm also gonna get a video card for my computer, need to figure out a good one, that'll work for most stuff and be good for at least a couple years. Linux compatibility's a good point, too.
