That was Ray. "It's a slug," Peter said.
Winston was keeping up the rear. "It had to be sewers. What happened to chasing Marilyn Monroe's ghost around mansions?"
Peter stopped right before the ladder. "Okay, here's the public, everybody look heroic."
The adoring crowd wasn't there. "I guess it scared them off," Winston said.
There was just one person there, undisturbed. "Hey, you! Where'd everybody go? We got it!" Peter called.
"I saw. I was watching."
They'd do, Gage decided, and they hadn't even needed any help.
I'm not quite satisfied with this, for a couple of reasons. I may try to do another one later. Trying to fit too much of a crossover into 100 words is hard.
