Small Ways #3 - Politeness

Okay, this one doesn't help you directly much, but it makes life lots easier.

Seriously, just be polite. Say "Please" and "Thank you" to people. It seems pointless, just empty words, I know, but it's like oil on a machine. You only notice it when it's not there. You'd be amazed how many people DON'T say it, so by saying it, you could really make somebody's day better. Especially in retail.

And if you smile honestly while saying thanks? 10,000,000 points. (Especially if you're a cute member of the appropriate sex for the smile-ee, but that's another subject)

I do that all the time! ALL the time! It's how I was raised, and when I got old enough to understand the why, I worked harder to make sure people knew services were appreciated.
