forsyth | An interesting moment

Of no real significance, maybe, to anybody except me. This article from Wizards of the Coast's Magic site talks about the Rainbow Stairwell format. And I went "DUDE!" I knew TomVeil, years ago on IRC. We used to play Chaos Magic and RS and other stuff. TV and Juz and y5 and me and a couple other people, all used to hang around in #mtg23 (I think) and a few other channels and play goofy things. I remember when TV was coming up with RS, I remember all of us discussing and pitching in. I think I was the one that came up with the name, but that could just be faulty memory. So seeing it mentioned on Wizards' magic site was just a cool moment. And apparently TV still hangs around on WotC's fora, maybe I should try register there and get in touch with him again. It's been YEARS. Wonder what happened to everybody else. Besides the few who're still on IRC, like copernicu and some of the other people who used to hang around in #mtg, most of them probably don't even remember me. edt, cathy_n, cbrangel... Eala's still on ICQ once in a while, but I haven't talked to her in forever. Wonder what happened to LordChris and Ali_Baba and JimDiGriz and MrsP and Skell and... I know a few have LJs, I should look them up.
