The Game of Death

forsythI watched Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey recently, and they had the "play a game with Death" thing. If you win, you go back, if you lose, you stay dead.
So... What's the downside? I mean, really. You're already dead, so being more dead isn't really possible. It's risking nothing. So what's the downside? And it's not just from that, it's been in a number of other movies and myths and stuff. Seems like a get out of death free card.
